Route to Lladurs Castle

A short walk, accessible from the Lladurs fountains and through a path that will take you to the platform where the remains of Lladurs Castle and the church of Santa Maria are. From this place you can see the panorama of Solsona and the nearby valleys. If the weather is good, you can also see the beautiful mountain of Montserrat

The origins of this castle date back to the year 1000, due to the sale of some vineyards of the Count of Urgell. The ruins of the castle belong to different eras, with outbuildings and additions.

THE WAY OF THE GOOD MEN

The Camí dels Bons Homes recalls the migration routes of the Cathars, also known as good men, who sought refuge in the houses of Catalan nobles (between the 10th and 14th centuries).

The Cathars were people with rigid morals who rejected all wealth and were against the Catholic Church, the Old Testament and the feudal system of the time; for this reason, they were considered heretics and persecuted for three centuries by the Inquisition, a crusade that led to their virtual extermination.

This trail can be covered on foot, on horseback and, on most sections, by mountain bike.
